About us
- Advancing the cause of Universal Neonatal Hearing Screening (EHDI) across the globe.
- Identifying countries and building infrastructure and expertise there.
- Identifying countries that need more audiologists and getting training to them.
- Developing Fellowships, hopefully sponsored, for promising ear surgeons, in developing countries.
- Developing virtual multidisciplinary networks where potential CI patients can be discussed, with experienced CI surgeons and Audiologists supporting the less experienced.
- Developing closer understanding with the CI and Hearing Aid manufacturers, so that we can persuade them of the business possibilities/sense of:
- Providing more affordable CIs and Hearing Aids
- Funding EHDI
- Building audiology access in countries where it is lacking, and thus increasing their market
- Keeping costs of attending the meetings down – perhaps by getting sponsorships for the less wealthy.
